Do you have a child on the Autistic Spectrum?
Do you know where to get valuable information?
Do you know what support or allowances are available from Education, Social Services and Health Services?
Would talking to other parents of children on the Autistic Spectrum help?
AWARE could help you!
We meet every month to share experiences & learn from each other.
Keeping In Touch
We issue a monthly newsletter about our activities and any items of interest.
Learning From Experts
We invite knowledgeable speakers to our monthly meetings.
We organise a range of activities for children with autism, including youth clubs, holiday play schemes, swimming, trampolining, cinema, residential activity breaks, day trips & bowling.
Supporting Young People (14-19)
We organise a monthly trip club & residential activity breaks. We also run a monthly cookery club.
Providing Access to Information
We have an extensive library of books and DVD's to answer the many questions that autism raises.
Lobbying for Better Services
We work with Local Authorities and the NHS to promote parents' views in determining the services required.
