AWARE is a parent-run group supporting families with children on the autistic spectrum. 

The group covers the Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven areas of Yorkshire, including Ilkley, Bingley, Keighley, Silsden, Skipton, Grassington, Settle and beyond.

Members comprise of parents, health, education and social services professionals, wider family members and sympathisers in general.

Early diagnosis of autism can improve the chances of a person receiving appropriate help, though all too often not without a fight.

AWARE can support parents through the maze of local services which cross Health, Social Services and Education boundaries.

Specialised Education and structured support can make a difference to a person with autism, helping them to maximise their skills and achieve full potential as an adult.

We welcome Membership from all backgrounds.
